J-Link Commander

Overview

J-Link Commander (JLink.exe) is a command line based utility that can be used for verifying proper functionality of J-Link as well as for simple analysis of the target system. It supports some simple commands, such as memory dump, halt, step, go etc. to verify the target connection.

Licensing

The J-Link Commander comes as part of the J-Link Software and Documentation Package. The software package is free for any J-Link or J-Trace device and can be downloaded here:

J-Link

SEGGER has expanded the capabilities of its J-Link debug probes to support monitor-mode debugging on Armv8-M devices. Previously limited to Armv7-M cores such as Cortex-M3, Cortex-M4, and Cortex-M7, the feature is now also available for Cortex-M23, Cortex-M33, Cortex-M55, and Cortex-M85.
