The certified management and development processes all have been established and maintained within SEGGER for years. All processes have been defined with the goal to maximize the quality of the output. In case of the development processes, this directly translates into product quality.
One of the cornerstones of our design and engineering processes is closed loop development. This means, that any product produced by us, is used by our own engineers. These engineers insist on the best tools available and they do not accept less. With their feedback we make sure that our tools continue to provide the best results in user experience and product performance for our customers.

SEGGER probably has the biggest collection of evaluation boards in the world available to the engineering team. The collection has more than 3,000 evaluation boards for a wide variety of different microcontrollers. Embedded Systems are all about supporting hardware. With the huge number of test systems available, SEGGER's engineering can make sure, that the delivered packages simply work.
To find the right evaluation board for the task at hand, SEGGER engineers can tap into SEGGER's own evaluation board management system.
As part of the certification process of embOS-Safe, SEGGER's development processes have undergone additional in-depth reviews. The certification for functional safety according to ISO 61508 SIL 3, IEC 62304 Class C, and ISO 26262 confirms the quality of the SEGGER development processes and demonstrates that embOS-Safe is perfectly suited for being the fundamental component of safety products.
TÜV Süd Germany has certified the real-time operating system (RTOS) embOS-Safe according to IEC 61508 SIL 3, IEC 62304 Class C, and ISO 26262. IEC 61508 is the standard for functional safety and referenced in multiple derived standards in different areas. embOS-Safe certifications according to other standards can easily be done.
All SEGGER software products follow the same high development standards that have been certified for embOS.
