    Overview

The SEGGER USB Hub-13 is a compact, industrial-grade USB hub featuring 13 downstream USB-C ports. It is ideal for connecting multiple Flasher Compact units to a Flasher Hub-4 or a Flasher Hub-12, providing reliable power and data connections for production environments.

The hub supports a wide input range of 8–30 V, and its flexible design allows easy mounting. For applications with minimal space, the top plexiglass plate can be removed, further reducing its footprint without compromising performance.

    Key features

A white illustration of a bundle of wires stands out against a blue circular background. The wires are partially encased, suggesting a focus on connectivity or electrical components.

    Upstream port isolation

The upstream port provides basic isolation (3 kV DC for 1 second), protecting a host system from potential electrical disturbances.

A blue circular logo features a shield with a factory graphic and a circuit design, symbolizing industrial security and technology integration. The image emphasizes safety and innovation in manufacturing.

    Overload protection

Each downstream port includes an overload limit to safeguard connected devices and ensure reliable operation in industrial settings.

A blue circular icon featuring a simple white graphic of a horizontal line with measurement markings below it, symbolizing a ruler or measuring tool. The design conveys concepts of measurement and precision.

    Compact and flexible design

The USB Hub-13 features a space-saving form factor. Its removable top plexiglass plate allows installation in tight spaces while maintaining rugged performance.

    Use case

A diagram illustrates the connections between a Flasher Hub-12 and a USB Hub-13. The USB Hub branches into two groups: one with 13 Flasher Compacts and another with 11 Flasher Compacts, totaling 24 units. Each component is clearly labeled for identification.

    Gang programming

Gang programming is used to increase the throughput of a programming station. The SEGGER USB Hub-13 provides a tested USB hub to simply expand the number of available USB ports to connect up to 24 Flasher Compacts with a Flasher Hub-4 or Flasher Hub-12.

    Technical specifications

    Weight (without cables)125  g

[1] Depends on current consumption of connected downstream devices. For maximum load, the input supply must be 12 VDC or more.

    [2] Safety considerations:
The SEGGER USB Hub-13 provides basic isolation only and is not intended for use with hazardous voltages without additional protective measures to prevent the risk of electric shock or fire.

The USB Hub-13's basic isolation can withstand high voltages, as specified in the relevant technical data section. To ensure user safety when working with potentially hazardous voltages, a secondary protective measure is mandatory in case the primary insulation barrier fails. This is known as double or reinforced insulation, and the method of achieving it depends on the specific use case or application setup.

Always consult local safety regulations to ensure that all applicable requirements are met.

    FAQ

Do I have to use the SEGGER USB Hub-13 with Flasher Compact?

No, but we recommend it as it is production grade, robust and tested. Many USB hubs on the market are not fully standard compliant, not as reliable and do not feature electrical isolation.

Can I use the SEGGER USB Hub-13 with other SEGGER products, such as J-Link or other production programmers?

Yes. It can be used even with non-SEGGER products.
