SEGGER Development Tools

Based on our embedded software we created an industry-leading family of JTAG emulators with and without trace. Main features include high download-speed into RAM and flash memory and the ability to set an unlimited number of breakpoints in flash memory of MCUs. Our Development Tools support ARM 7/9/11, Cortex™, Renesas RX™ CPUs and various IDEs. An SDK is available.

J-Link PRO

J-Link PRO is the high end model of the J-Link series. It comes with licenses for all J-Link related SEGGER software products: Flash Breakpoints, RDI, J-Flash, providing the optimum debugging solution for professional developers. J-Link ULTRA+ is a JTAG/SWD emulator designed for ARM/Cortex and Renesas RX CPUs.

Based on the highly optimized and proven J-Link, it offers even higher speed as well as target power measurement capabilities due to the faster CPU, built-in FPGA and Hi-Speed USB interface.

J-Link

J-Link is a USB powered JTAG emulator for ARM/Cortex and Renesas RX cores. It connects via USB to a PC running Microsoft Windows, Linux or Mac OS X. J-Link EDU

JTAG / SWD Emulator with USB interface

 

The J-Link EDU emulator is a standard J-Link emulator wrapped in a new housing for educational use.
The J-Link EDU allows fast download into the internal flash of supported microcontrollers and the setting of breakpoints in flash memory.  J-Link EDU is now available to educational institutions and private persons and students who want to educate themselves in programming and debugging of embedded systems.
The J-Link EDU is natively supported by IAR EWARM, KEIL µVision, Rowley Crossworks, and CodeSourcery G++.
Via GDB-Server, the supported tool-chains also include Atollic TrueStudio, Yagarto, and other GDB based or compatible development environments.

J-Trace Cortex-M

 

J-Trace for Cortex-M is a high speed hardware trace probe using the ETM (Embedded Trace Macrocells) of Cortex-M cores. J-Trace for Cortex-M can be used as a J-Link and it also supports ARM7/9 cores. Tracing on ARM7/9 targets is not supported.

J-Link OB

 

J-Link OB is a single chip microcontroller "on-board" of an eval board. The microcontroller has a USB-interface on one side and a JTAG/SWD + SWO interface on the device side. It allows debugging any supported device without the need for an additional debug probe (emulator).

J-Link OB is used on various eval boards by several eval board manufacturers for various target CPUs.
