Inexpensive J-Link ARM for educational purpose

SEGGER now offers a new package for educational pupose, which includes J-Link ARM with a license for Flash Breakpoints. J-Link ARM EDU is available at a discounted price of 49.98 € * for everybody who does not use the software to develop a product for sale. The offer includes free use of Flash Breakpoints. The only limitation is that it may not be used to develop a product. The J-Link ARM EDU is natively supported by IAR EWARM, KEIL µVision, Rowley Crossworks, and CodeSourcery G++.  Via GDB-Server, the supported tool-chains also include Atollic TrueStudio, Yagarto, and other GDB based or compatible development environments.   The Flash Breakpoints option allows the user to set an unlimited number of breakpoints within a device’s internal flash memory. Debugging limitations inherited by the number of hardware breakpoints (2 on ARM7/9, 4 on Cortex-M0 and typically 6 on Cortex-M3) are completely removed. J-Link ARM EDU is sold to private persons, colleges, schools, universities and NPOs (Non Profit Organizations) for educational purposes only. It is not sold to companies. Sale to private persons is limited to one unit per person. SEGGER reserves the right to deny this offer to anybody in case of doubt that this unit is used for educational use.

Terms of use:

You may use the J-Link ARM EDU for non profit educational purposes only. Non-profit educational purposes means that you may not use the J-Link ARM EDU and its J-Link software

• direct or indirect in or for a profit organization or business purposes or other undertaking intended for profit
• direct or indirect in any other commercial environment (e.g. office)
• to develop, debug, program or manufacturer a commercial product (or parts thereof)
• to use it to either earn money or reasonably anticipate the receipt of monetary gain from it.

Any other use of the J-Link ARM EDU is prohibited and illegal! If there is any doubt if a certain use may be considered within the foregoing scope or whether your use of the J-Link ARM EDU applies to an educational situation, it is strongly recommended to get in touch and consult SEGGER prior use.
For clarification purposes: A student using the J-Link ARM EDU direct or indirect in a business or profit organization (e.g. company) is considered a violation of the scope of this agreement.
