Version 3.88h

  1. Initial release for ARM GNU Altera
    embOS for ARM GNU Altera is based on embOS sources V3.88h and can be used with the DS-5 Eclipse workbench, Altera edition.

Program corrections

Version 4.04

  1. VFP support corrected.
    The VFP routines could overwrite the task stack by mistake.

  1. Fixed compatibility with DS-5 Eclipse workbench, Altera edition.

Known problems/limitations

Version 3.88h

  1. External bootloader required.
    The first version of embOS ARM for Altera SoC requires a bootlaoder which sets up the device and loads the application.
    The preloader and bootloader which are generated with the Quartus FPGA software can (and have to) be used.
  2. NEON not supported.
    The initial version does not support the NEON co-processor.
    Functions to store and restore the NEON registers on task switches will be added in later releases.
